xorg.conf のマウスのセクションで，

	Driver を "mouse" から "evdev" に変更
	Option "Device" を "/dev/input/mice" から "/dev/input/event1" に変更

でどうでしょうか．
マウス入力は USB マウスではなく，タッチスクリーンになりますが．
