お世話になります。
渡辺@NSECです。

fileコマンドはapt-cache show fileにて
3.37-3.1.woody.1でした。
apt-get -f install  file としても
Sorry, file is already the newest version.
と出て、更新されないため、4.12-1のパッケージをダウンロードしてきて
dpkgにてインストールしました。
(file単独では入らなったため、他2コマンドも同時にインストールしました。)
Setting up zlib1g(1.2.2-4)...
Setting up libmagic1(4.12-1)...
Setting up file(4.12-1)...
と、しましたが、
状況、立ち上げ時のログに変化はありません。

他、何かバージョンが古かったり
fileコマンドのインストール方法がいけないのでしょうか?

なにか調査方法などありましたらあわせてご教授願います。

fileコマンドのversionはどうなっているでしょうか?
私のcolinuxでは 4.12-1 となっています。
