Hello Jones

As long as seeing log messages, it looks that you finally could mount 
NFS as root file system. Fine.

About the warning message which says "unable to open an initial console",
it happens when Linux kernel is not able to open /dev/console file.
(See uClinux-dist/linux-2.4.x/init/main.c)

Could you check that there is the device file (/dev/console) on the 
directory which Armadillo-J mounts as the root file system.

If you haven't made the root directory Armadillo-J mounts yet,
follow the order shown below :

1.
cd uClinux-dist

2.
make dep all

3.
su -
(to be the root user)

4.
mount -o loop ./image/romfs.img /mnt/tmp

5.
cp /mnt/tmp/* /home/aj_user/rootfs -a
(/home/aj/rootfs is where Armadillo-J mounts as the root file system)
