ご回答どうもありがとうございました。
おかげさまで、ttyAM2の接続先であるプロアナ上にて、通信を確認できました。

しかし、一点気になる点があります。
コンソール上で、下記コマンドを実行しても、表示されないことがわかりました。
echo "hello world" > /dev/ttyAM2
 
デフォルト設定のままである/dev/ttyAM1でおこなった場合は正常に表示されます。
echo "hello world" > /dev/ttyAM1
hello world

なぜ、echoが表示されないのか、原因となりえるものについてアドバイスをいただけませんでしょうか？
/dev/ttyAM2は、下記の設定にしております。フロー制御有りにしていると表示できないなどあるのでしょうか？
背景として、使用するデバイスポートttyAM1とttyAM2を入れ替えても同様の現象が発生するため、デフォルト設定を変更している私のソースコード部分が気になりました。

B19200 | CRTSCTS | CS8 | CLOCAL | CREAD;

a220の場合

	ポート名 | デバイスノード
	---------+----------------
	CON16    | ttyAM0
	CON3     | ttyAM2
	CON4     | ttyAM1

です。
