Thank you for the step by step description, that helps me very much.

No, the error-message was not from linux-2.6.18-at9.tar.gz. That was a mistake on my part. I tryed to make an image from uClinux-dist-20040408-suzaku6, but as I read a few minutes before, uClinux does not work on the SZ410.

AFIK the newest you can use of the 2.6.x series is the 2.6.18 from atmark techno, uClinux I dont know.

download this http://download.atmark-techno.com/suzaku/dist/atmark-dist-20090318.tar.gz
extrakt this and the linux-2.6.18-at9.tar.gz in a folder.

make a link to in atmark-dist-20090318 to linux-2.6.18-at9 call the link linux-2.6.x in the atmark-dist-20090318 folder do make mrproper
make menuconfig    (set vendor to atmarktechno product to suzaku-v.410)
make
make image
and you are done... for linux 2.6.18
Upload the image to the suzaku, hermit download -i image.bin -r image image.bin is in the images folder.
